Dottato Variety
The Dottato, also known as the Ottato, is a variety of domestic fig of Italian origin. This product comes entirely from our fig orchard. The figs are prepared according to the local farming tradition, dried in the sun, sanitized and packaged in our laboratory.
Characteristics:
High in fibre, potassium, iron and magnesium. Rich in antioxidants, calcium and mineral salts.
Use:
As you bite, the skin provides a certain resistance before yielding to the sweet softness of the heart of the fig. The taste is strong, soft and sugary.
Recommended:
Excellent as part of a healthy breakfast, or as a high-energy snack. Perfect to accompany salamis and cheese.
Storage:
Ideally the figs should kept in a cool, dry place and the packet should be closed when not in use.
